DHAKA, Jan 7, 2026 (BSS)- Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen today held a courtesy meeting with BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

The ambassador handed over a bouquet to Tarique Rahman and conveyed his greetings during the meeting held at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Ghulshan this afternoon. 

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan said discussions were held in a mutually friendly atmosphere on various issues of bilateral interests. In particular, the discussions highlighted various aspects of strengthening mutual cooperation, including the existing relations between Bangladesh and China, and political and diplomatic issues.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and BNP Joint Secretary General (International Affairs) Humayun Kabir were present with Tarique Rahman at that time.
