DHAKA, Jan 6, 2026 (BSS) - Biman Bangladesh Airlines has postponed the suspension of its regular Dhaka/Sylhet-Manchester-Dhaka/Sylhet flights until March 1, revising an earlier decision to halt operations from February 1.

In a statement issued here today, the national flag carrier said its Board of Directors had initially decided to temporarily suspend flights on the route from February 1, 2026, until further notice.

The decision was later reviewed in consideration of ticket-holding passengers. Following the review, the board decided that the temporary suspension would instead take effect from March 1, 2026.

Biman said affected passengers would be provided necessary assistance in line with existing company policies, including travel on alternative flights on the Dhaka-London-Dhaka route, changes of travel dates, ticket refunds and other related services.

Passengers have been advised to contact Biman's sales offices in Dhaka and London, the airline's call centre (13636/+88096109-13636) or authorised Biman travel agents for support.

The airline expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused and sought cooperation from passengers and all concerned, adding that passengers would be duly informed once regular flight operations on the Manchester route resume.
