KHULNA, Jan 6, 2025 (BSS) – Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Prof Dr Md Maksud Helali today said that a skilled and disciplined workforce is the backbone of a healthy academic environment.

He said that a clear understanding of service rules and proper conduct ensures transparency and accountability in the workplace, which in turn accelerates overall institutional development.

The VC made the remarks while addressing a basic training programme titled “Service Rules, Discipline and Code of Conduct” for Grade-14 and Grade-15 employees at KUET as the chief guest.

The day-long programme was organised by the university’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and inaugurated at the conference room of the administrative building.

IQAC Director Prof Dr Md Hasanuzzaman chaired the programme, while Additional Director Prof Dr Md Nur Kutubul Alam conducted the session. Two technical sessions were held as part of the training.

In the first session, Prof Dr Md Nurunnabi Mollah of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering discussed service rules, discipline, responsibilities and duties of employees.

The second session focused on punctuality, leave regulations and entitled benefits, presented by IQAC Director Prof Dr Md Hasanuzzaman.
