DHAKA, Jan 05, 2026 (BSS) – The government has promoted additional secretaries Md Saidur Rahman Khan, Dr Mohammad Altaf-ul-Alam and Mohammad Mizanur Rahman to the rank of secretary.

According to separate notifications issued by the public administration ministry here yesterday in this regard. 

It said that the government also posted them to different ministries and department as the status of secretary.

According to a notification, director generation (additional secretary) of social welfare department Md Saidur Rahman Khan has been promoted to the rank of secretary and posted him to the disaster management and relief ministry as secretary.

Another notification said that additional secretary of information and broadcasting ministry Dr Mohammad Altaf-ul-Alam was promoted to the post of secretary and made rector of Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy.

According to another notification, director general (additional secretary) of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics Mohammad Mizanur Rahman has been promoted to the rank of a secretary and posted him to the ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs.

The notifications said the promotion orders published for public interest will come to effect immediately.
