KHULNA, Jan 5, 2026 (BSS) - Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Maksud Helali today said effective coordination and collaboration between industry and educational institutions are essential to develop skilled manpower capable of meeting the challenges of the 21st century.

He made the remarks while addressing a seminar titled “Strengthening Industry–Academia Collaboration with Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET)” as the chief guest.

Organised by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of KUET, the seminar was held at the conference room of the university’s administrative building this afternoon.

The Vice-Chancellor said such seminars play a vital role in familiarizing graduates with real-life industrial experiences and enhancing their employability in the competitive job market.

Director of KUET IQAC Professor Dr Md Hasanuzzaman chaired the seminar while Managing Director of Islov International Limited Dr Asif M Zaman, attended the programme as special guest and keynote speaker.

Director of Business, Excellence and Development of Islov International Limited Ali Reza was present as a special resource person.

Additional Director of IQAC Professor Dr Md Nur Qutubul Alam delivered the welcome address at the programme.

Following the inaugural session, detailed discussions were held in the technical sessions on various aspects of mutual cooperation between industry and academic institutions.
