DHAKA, Jan 05, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has transferred a joint police commissioner and 13 deputy police commissioners aimed at maintaining law and order in the capital.

DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali issued the transfer order here today.

According to the order, joint commissioner (current charge) ASM Shamsur Rahman Bhuiyan has been transferred to estate development and ICT division as the same position.

It said deputy commissioners (DCs) - Md Ziauddin Ahmed has been transferred to detective branch of Tejgaon division, Md Tariqul Islam was transferred to Gulshan traffic division, Md Aslam Uddin to welfare and forces division, Khaleda Begum to ICT division, Syed Mohammad Farhad to diplomatic security division, Mst Liza Begum to Traffic, Administration and planning and research division, Mohammad Mahmudul Kabir to public order management, south division, Abdullah Al Mamun to city cyber crime investigation division, Mohammad Mizanur Rahman to city administration and logistic division,  Mohammad Noor-e-Alam to city research and development division, Md Abu Saim to ration and clothing division, Md Ilias Kabir to counter terrorism investigation division and Mohammad Rakib Khan to city intelligence analysis division.

The order said that the order published for the public interest will come into effect immediately.
