
DHAKA, Dec 21, 2021 (BSS) - State minister for civil aviation and tourism M Mahbub Ali today hailed the initiative of branding the country's tourism as "Mujib's Bangladesh" for the next one year since the world knows Bangladesh after the name of Bangabandhu.
"Since the world community knows Bangladesh after the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the branding of the country's tourism as 'Mujib's Bangladesh' has been so pertinent," he said.
The state minister was speaking at a seminar titled 'Mujib's Bangladesh', organized by Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry at Parjatan Bhaban at Agargaon in the capital.
Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) has launched the new tourism brand name and logo titled "Mujib's Bangladesh" that will be used for an entire year till December 16, 2022.
On December 16, 2021, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the new brand name "Mujib's Bangladesh", its logo and a commemorative postage stamp on it.
The state minister expressed his gratitude to the prime minister to approve the special country's new Tourism brand "Mujib's Bangladesh" for a year.
Ali urged all quarters to work unitedly under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to realize desired developed Bangladesh as dreamt by Bangabandhu.
Chief coordinator of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary celebration national implementation committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser spoke as the key speaker.
Presided over by civil aviation and tourism secretary M Mokammel Hossain, the seminar was also addressed by Bangladesh representative to the UNESCO executive committee Tariq Sujat and BTB's CEO Jabed Ahmed.
