DHAKA, Jan 3, 2026 (BSS) - The National Legal Aid Services Organization (NLASO) has so far resolved a total of 1,79,062 cases through the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) system.
The information was disclosed in a report published on NLASO's website, covering its activities from 2009 to November 2025.
According to the report, a total of 2,02,547 cases were considered for resolution through the ADR system during the period. Of these, 1,79,062 cases involving 3,49,973 beneficiaries were successfully resolved.
The report further said that up to November 2025, a total of 13,55,423 people received legal services at government expense through the NLASO.
The beneficiaries included litigants from the Supreme Court's High Court Division and Appellate Division, all lower courts and labour courts across the country, as well as insolvent prisoners in jails.
Legal assistance at government expense has been provided under the Legal Aid Services Act, 2000 to financially insolvent and disadvantaged justice seekers across the country.
The NLASO has been implementing the programme under the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
