DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - The interim government has made special arrangements for women intending to attend the namaz-e-janaza of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia tomorrow.
"Separate facilities have been arranged for women at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad and the Manik Mia Avenue area, enabling them to take part in the funeral prayer in an orderly and secure environment," said the Chief Adviser's Press Wing tonight.
It also said that a solemn atmosphere of mourning is prevailing across the country following the death of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson, three-time former Prime Minister and top figure of democratic politics, Begum Khaleda Zia.
To ensure the participation of people from all walks of life to pay their final respects, the press wing said, the interim government has taken necessary measures.
In this context, special arrangements have been made for women wishing to attend the janaza of Begum Khaleda Zia, it added.
The namaz-e-Janaza of Begum Khaleda Zia will be held after Zohr prayers at 2:00 pm.
All those intending to attend the funeral prayer have been requested, for security reasons, not to carry any bags.
The concerned authorities have taken all necessary measures to ensure overall security and discipline for everyone to come to bid a final farewell to Begum Khaleda Zia.
