JU holds ‘A’ Unit admission test, publishes IBA-JU results

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 29, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) today held the ‘A’ Unit admission test for the 2025–2026 academic session, marking the completion of the written admission test phase for first-year undergraduate (honours) programmes.

The ‘A’ Unit admission test was conducted for the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences and the Institute of Information Technology (IIT).

JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan visited the examination centres at the Physics Building and the Chemistry Building in the morning.

After the visit, the Vice-Chancellor thanked teachers, students, officers, employees and all concerned for successfully conducting the admission tests in a smooth and orderly manner. 

He said, “The collective efforts of all stakeholders made the process successful, further enhancing the university’s reputation and image.”

During the visit, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr M Mahfuzur Rahman, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Sohel Ahmed, Treasurer Professor Dr M AbdurRab and Proctor Professor Dr A K M RashidulAlam, among others, were present.

According to university sources, against 213 seats for male students and 213 seats for female students under the ‘A’ Unit, a total of 38,012 male and 22,340 female applicants applied for the admission test.

Meanwhile, the university authorities have published the admission test results of the Institute of Business Administration, IBA-JU; ‘C’ Unit under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Law and the Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture; ‘B’ Unit under the Faculty of Social Sciences; ‘E’ Unit under the Faculty of Business Studies; and ‘D’ Unit under the Faculty of Biological Sciences. 

The results of the ‘C-1’ Unit for the Departments of Drama and Dramatics and Fine Arts, along with the dates of the viva voce examinations, have also been announced.
