ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, Dec 24, 2025 (BSS)- The Islamic University Moot
Court Society (IUMCS) today formed a new executive committee for next one
year.
Raihan Biswas and Ummay Ashratun Tajrin of Law Department, both under 2019-20
session, were made as president and secretary of IUMCS respectively.
A Press release, signed by the society moderators Professor Dr Halima Khatun
and Prof Dr Rehena Parvin, confirmed.
The other members of the committee are: Talukder M Solaiman and Imam Hossen
as Vice President, Tonmoy Ghosh and Mowabbez Rahoman Jim as Joint
Secretaries, Shawana Shamim as Organising Secretary, Najmul Karim Arnob as
Assistant Organising secretary, Fazle Rabbi Rimon as Treasurer, Humayra Asima
as Asst. Treasure, Tahsina Raisa as Office Secretary, Musfika Baten as Asst.
Office Secretary, Al Zihad Jony and Abdullah All Asad as Research and
Academic Secretary respectively, Shadman Shoumic Enam and Sohanur Rahman as
Asst. Research and Academic Secretary, Shadman Khan Naahe as Media and Public
Relation Secretary, Farhan Ishraq as Asst. Media and Public Relation
Secretary, Mohid Ul Islam as Information and Technology Affairs Secretary,
Akash Sikder as Asst. Information and Technology Affairs Secretary, Solaiman
Hossain and Jannatul Karim Shuchi as Event Affairs Secretaries, Riyad Hasan
Rabby as External Affairs Secretary and Arefin Sabbir as Asst. External
Affairs Secretary.
President Raihan said, "It is a profound honour to assume the presidency of
the Islamic University Moot Court Society (IUMCS). Our strategic vision is to
further elevate the national and international standing of the Department of
Law and Islamic University by fostering excellence in advocacy, legal
research, and professional competence among students."
"In furtherance of this objective, we have constituted specialised teams to
represent the University in prestigious national and international moot court
competitions and have successfully conducted inter-session moots, adjudicated
by distinguished alumni mooters and judicial magistrates from the University
of Dhaka Moot Court Society," he said.
"Building upon these initiatives, we are committed to implementing more
comprehensive and impactful programmes in the near future," the newly-made
president of the organisation added.
