DHAKA, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) - Chairman of the National River Conservation Commission Maksumul Hakim Chaudhury was promoted to the rank of senior secretary.

Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification signed by deputy secretary Mohammad Rafiqul Haque in this regard here today.

Chowdhury was serving as the Chairman of the River Conservation Commission on a contractual basis in the rank of secretary.

After being promoted to the post of senior secretary, he has been posted to the river conservation commission as its chairman, it said.
