CHATTOGRAM, Nov 23, 2025 (BSS)- Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, Vice-Chancellor of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), emphasized the high demand for technological skills in today's rapidly evolving global market.
He highlighted the vast potential in technology-based fields such as networking, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Bhuiyan noted that Bangladesh is actively participating in this technological advancement.
He highlighted the importance of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) department as the foundation of modern life in the information and technology era. Dr. Bhuiyan expressed confidence that students entering this dynamic sector will play a key role in shaping a technology-driven world. He commended the ETE department at CUET for enhancing students' education, experience, research, and innovation skills, preparing them to become future technology leaders.
Abdul Matin Bhuiyan shared these remarks as the chief guest at the "Televerse 1.0" event organized by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) at CUET's Central Auditorium on Sunday.
Professor Dr. Md. Jahedul Islam, Head of the ETE Department, presided over the event. Other speakers included Professor Dr. Sheikh Shariful Alam, former Pro-Vice Chancellor of KUET, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ahsan Ullah, Director of UCRL and Golam Haider Talukder, Chief Engineer of the Bangladesh Power Development Board.
The event was hosted by students from different batches of the ETE department. The programme, which began on November 20, 2025, featured four national-level competitions with over 300 students from 34 universities participation. Prizes were awarded to the winners, and the cover of the "Teliteles" magazine was unveiled at the end of the event.
