Standard of primary education will be improved in future: Bidhan

TANGAIL, Nov 23, 2025 (BSS) - Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar today said the scenario of primary education in the country will be changed in the future and the government is working to achieve the goal.

“The purpose of primary education is to develop the latent potentials in children,” he said while addressing a view exchange meeting titled “Role of education stakeholders in improving the quality of primary education” at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium here.

The adviser said that the good educational atmosphere should be ensured for flourishing the latent talents of children. Primary school children should be shown dreams, he added. 

Bidhan said teachers have to play an important role in this regard. 

Primary and Mass Education Secretary Abu Taher Md. Masud Rana, Additional Divisional Commissioner Md. Azmul Haque and Director General of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Abu Nur Md. Shamsuzzaman, among others, addressed the event with Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque in the chair.
