DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) - Five security guards of Dhaka University (DU) have been temporarily suspended for negligence in performing their duties.

The suspended guards are-- Md. Shah Alam (IER), Md. Selim (IER), Md. Sangram Hossain (Middle Gate of Faculty of Fine Arts), Md. Safiqul Islam (Nutrition and Food Science) and Md. Ali Ahmed (Rear Gate of Curzon Hall), according to a DU press release.

On November 11, the guards were on duty from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, the following morning, at their respective posts. 

During that period, the Proctorial Security Mobile Team visited the sites and found evidence of negligence in their assigned duties.
