DHAKA, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) has filed 2,356 cases for violating traffic rules in a single
day across the capital.
A media release of the DMP today said that they filed those cases and
realized the money on Monday (November 10) through their regular drives
against the traffic rule breakers.
A total of 588 motor vehicles were dumped and 124 vehicles were wrecked due
to poor driving practices, said Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media
and Public Relations Division) of the DMP.
DMP's Motijheel traffic division filed the highest 461 cases while Mirpur
division filed 365 cases, Gulshan division 314 cases, Wari division 304
cases, Tejgaon division 297 cases, Uttara division filed 289 cases, Lalbagh
division 214 cases and Ramna division filed 112 cases against operators of
motor vehicles, three wheelers and motorcycles.
"The drives will continue to ensure discipline on the city streets," the
release said, adding that the DMP has been working to bring the traffic
system under smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
