RANGPUR, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS) - Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Begum Rokeya University, 
Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali has said that Artificial 
Intelligence (AI) is now not just a part of technology, it has become an 
integral part of modern workplace.
 
"The proper use of Artificial Intelligence in higher education will make the 
future of our students more dynamic. Artificial Intelligence is now making an 
important contribution in various fields of research," he said. 
 
The VC said this while addressing a seminar titled "Artificial Intelligence 
and Cyber Security" held at the virtual classroom of the Department of 
Computer Science and Engineering of the university on Sunday as the chief 
guest. 
 
The Scholarship Support Office of the university organised the seminar 
participated by students from different departments.
 
Director of the Office of the Students Affairs Prof Dr Md Ileas Pramanik was 
present as special guest. 
 
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of the university Prof Dr 
Mizanur Rahman presented the keynote address. 
 
The chief guest said that the use of Artificial Intelligence is growing 
rapidly in every field, including education, medicine, agriculture, and 
sociology.
 
"To meet the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, our students 
need to acquire technological skills," he said, adding that the university 
administration is always working to advance students in technology and 
research. 
 
The speakers at the seminar discussed the impact, possibilities and 
challenges of artificial intelligence and cyber security in real life. 
 
They advised students to be aware of safe digital use and cyber security in 
their future professional lives.
