KHULNA, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS) - A daylong training workshop on "Question Preparation and Moderation under the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) System" was held at Khulna University (KU) on Wednesday.

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university organized the event at the URP Lecture Theatre.

KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, the VC said that an effective assessment system is the cornerstone of quality education. Ensuring alignment between teaching methods and evaluation processes in line with OBE principles is vital for maintaining academic standards, he added.

"To achieve accreditation, it is crucial to ensure consistency between course learning outcomes (CLOs) and examination questions. Therefore, the process of question preparation and moderation must be systematic and well-structured," he said.

The VC also informed that, as per the guidelines of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) and the Bangladesh National Qualification Framework (BNQF), ten KU disciplines have already submitted their 'Intent to Apply' for accreditation, while final applications will be submitted soon.

KU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Khan and Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Nurunnabi attended the inaugural session as special guests.
