DHAKA, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast rain or thunder showers is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions, beginning at 9:00 am today.
"Rain or thunder showers is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Mymensingh
divisions," according to a bulletin issued by the BMD this morning.
It said weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day temperatures may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it also predicted.
Besides, the deep depression over Southeast Bay and adjoining area moved west-northwestwards and intensified into a cyclonic storm "Montha" over southwest Bay and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal (near lat: 11.7øN, lon: 85.5øE), at 3am today, said the BMD.
It is likely to move west-northwestwards further and intensify further, and may cross the coast of India's Andhra Pradesh by Tuesday evening or night.
The met office further said that its associated trough extends up to North Bay.
On Sunday, the highest temperature recorded was 36.0 degrees Celsius in Ambagan under Chattogram, while the lowest temperature was recorded today 22.1 degrees Celsius in Tetulia.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:23 pm today and will rise at 6:02 am tomorrow.
