KHULNA, Oct 23, 2025 (BSS) - The authorities of Khulna University of 
Engineering and Technology (KUET) have held a coordination meeting with 
representatives of law enforcement agencies to strengthen overall campus 
security ahead of upcoming cultural competitions.

The meeting, held at the Vice-Chancellor's (VC's) Office, was presided over 
by KUET VC Professor Dr. Md. Maksud Helali.

Student Welfare Director Prof Dr. B M Ekramul Haque, Deputy Registrar and 
Chairman of the KUET Security Committee Md Moinul Haque, Assistant Police 
Commissioner (Daulatpur Zone) of Khulna Metropolitan Police Md. Abul Bashar, 
and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khan Jahan Ali Police Station Md. Tuhinuzzaman 
were present at the meeting.

Md. Sadek Hossain Pramanik, senior security officer and member secretary of 
the University Security Committee, conducted the meeting.

Discussions focused on ensuring the smooth and peaceful organisation of the 
upcoming cultural competitions and strengthening overall campus security.

VC Prof Helali expressed confidence about arranging the events safely.

"The long standing cooperation between KUET and local law enforcement 
agencies would continue to ensure a safe and disciplined campus environment," 
he said.

He also urged administration to take preventive measures to avoid any 
untoward incidents during the events.
