DHAKA, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - Vice-Chancellor (VC) of National University (NU) Professor ASM Amanullah today said that the NU authority is expecting to eliminate session-jam by next June.
"This year we published exam results within two months of exams breaking the previous 33 years' records of standstill session of session-jam. We are expecting that the NU students will be relieved from the session-jam problem by next June," he said.
The VC gave the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at fresher reception event to intermediate freshers of 2025-26 session at the Dhanmondi Ideal College here this morning.
President of the Ideal College Directory Board Prof S M Mostofa Al Mamun spoke at the event as special guest with acting Principal of the college Muhammad Rezwanul Haque in the chair.
The NU VC urged all students to stay well connected with their respective educational institutions and pay more attention to research and analysis-driven education.
Regarding increased facilities of the NU, he said, "NU has doubled the amount of scholarship from Taka 10 crore to 20 crore. So that no students become deprived from education because of the financial crisis," according to an NU press release.
He called on the students of the Dhanmondi Ideal College to prepare themselves as model citizens of the country and bring fame to their college.
