CHATTOGRAM, Oct 16, 2025 (BSS) - Speakers at a workshop emphasized that everyone is equal in the eyes of the law and has the right to equal opportunities.
Highlighting the importance of women's rights and participation, they stressed that women victims should be made aware of their rights so they can enjoy the full benefits of the law and have access to justice.
They made the remarks at the inaugural session of the Parayan Project workshop held at the conference room of the Chattogram District Judge Court Building.
The project is being implemented by JSUS with the support of Aparajeyo Bangladesh and funded by the Citizenship Civic Engagement Fund.
Chattogram Senior District and Sessions Judge Md. Hemayet Uddin attended the programme as the chief guest.
JSUS President Advocate Mohammad Rafiqul Alam presided over the function. District Legal Aid Officer (Senior Assistant Judge) Rupan Kumar Das, Senior Information Officer Bappi Chakraborty, Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Mofizul Haque Bhuiyan, and Thana Secondary Education Officer Mohammad Shafiul Alam, among others, also spoke on the occasion.
JSUS MEAL Officer Ahsan Ullah gave a presentation on the Parayan Project. JSUS Management Advisor Kabi Saidul Arefin and Executive Director Yasmin Parvin also spoke.
