DHAKA, Oct 16, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 69,097 students obtained the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) in the HSC and equivalent examinations-2025 under 11 education boards.
Among them, 32,053 are male and 37,044 are female, according to the results published today.
Among the nine general education boards, in terms of GPA-5, Dhaka board secured top position with 26,063 students getting maximum grade point average while 10,137 in Rajshahi board, 6,260 in Dinajpur, 6,097 in Chattogram, 5,995 in Jashore, 2,707 in Cumilla, 1,602 in Sylhet, 2,684 in Mymensingh and 1,674 in Barishal.
A total of 4,268 examinees obtained GPA-5 from Madrasah Education Board while 1,610 examinees from Technical Education Board.
The overall pass rate in the nine general boards stood at 57.12 percent, while the Madrasah and Technical boards recorded 75.61 percent and 62.67 percent pass rates respectively.
This year, a total of 12,35,661 students participated in the examinations under the nine general education boards, the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. Of them, 726,960 students passed.
The HSC and equivalent examinations were held from June 26 to August 19, 2025.
