DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) – As per the Saudi government’s Hajj roadmap, a total of 59,859 people, including guides, have so far completed their registration for performing Hajj next year, an official of the Hajj Office said.
According to the Hajj Office, analysis of the e-Hajj system shows that a large number of pre-registered pilgrims are waiting under private management.
It said the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) has been requested to inform the Director of the Hajj Office in Ashkona, Dhaka, by 5 pm today about the number of pilgrims without vouchers.
A total of 54,736 people registered for performing the Holy Hajj 2026 under private management, while 3,823 individuals registered under government management, said Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain.
Addressing a press briefing at the ministry conference room here today, he said that, in addition, 1,300 guides have registered to assist the Hajj pilgrims.
The ministry will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss extending the registration deadline for Hajj 2026.
According to ministry information, Saudi Arabia has allocated a quota of 127,198 pilgrims for Bangladesh for 2026, similar to previous years, through its Nusuk Massar platform.
The government must transfer the service package fees to Saudi Arabia by December 21, followed by the signing of final agreements with Saudi service providers by January 4, 2026, while housing and transportation payments must be completed by January 20, 2026.
As per the Hajj Package and Guidelines 2026, each Hajj agency may register at least 46 Hajj pilgrims.
The Holy Hajj will be performed on May 26, 2026, subject to the sighting of the moon.
