NILPHAMARI, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - A madrasa teacher was killed in a road accident at Dimla upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Md. Rafiqul Islam, 55, a resident of Burir Hat village in Khalishachapani union of the upazila.

"The incident took place near Satibari Bazar this morning when a speeding trolley hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving its rider Rafiqul injured" said Dimla Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Fazle Elahi.

He was rescued and taken to Dimla Upazila Health Complex where he died while undergoing treatment.
