DHAKA, Sept 04, 2025 (BSS) - The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, commemorating the birth and death anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), will be observed across the country on September 6 with due religious dignity and solemnity.
On this occasion, a series of events have been organized across the country, including at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, under the initiative of the Islamic Foundation (IF).
The opening ceremony of the event will be held tomorrow after Maghrib prayers at the East Sahan of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs AKM Aftab Hossain Pramanik will inaugurate the programme as the chief guest, said a press release received here today.
Maulana Syed Mohammad Mosaddek Billah Al Madani, Governor of the IF Board of Governors, Maulana Shah Md. Nesarul Haque and Dr Maulana Khalilur Rahman Madani, will present at the event as special guests while IF Director General A Salam Khan will preside over it.
A 15-day long Waz Mahfil will be held at the East Sahan of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Maghrib prayers from September 5 to September 19. Renowned scholars will deliver speeches at the event.
A 4-day seminar on the life and works of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will be held in a joint initiative with Bangladesh Betar at Baitul Mukarram Auditorium. Later, it will be broadcasted on Bangladesh Betar Dhaka Center's 'K' channel and FM 106 from 10.05 pm to 10.40 pm.
This event will be recorded in the presence of audiences at the Islamic Foundation Baitul Mukarram Auditorium.
On the occasion of the celebration of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH), a Seerat memorial, writings by renowned scholars, Islamic scholars, writers, poets and researchers, were published.
A month-long Islamic Book Fair has been organized in the eastern and southern courtyards of the National Mosque on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi.
Book publisher companies from Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan and Lebanon will participate in it.
This time the fair has been organized on a larger scale. It will have space for about 200 stalls. The fair will start from September 13. The fair will run from 10 am to 8 pm every day.
An Islamic Cultural Competition has been organized for students of schools, colleges, Aliya and Qawmi Madrasas and government as well as private universities in Dhaka city.
The students will be divided into three groups and competitions will be held on seven subjects.
The competition will be held at the Islamic Foundation Agargaon office on September 15-16.
Prizes will be distributed among the winners on September 18.
Qiraat Mahfil, Hamd-Na'at and poetry recitation session in Honor of the Prophet (PBUH) will be organized on September 11 after Maghrib, September 17 after Maghrib, and September 18 after Asr prayers in honor of the Prophet (PBUH).
Various programs will be organized on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) in all the divisional and district offices of the Islamic Foundation, 56 Islamic missions and 8 Imam Training Academies.
These include - Waj Mahfil and Islamic Cultural Competition related to the life and work of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
