DHAKA, Nov 26, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League will take various programs tomorrow, marking Shaheed Dr Shamsul Alam Khan Milon Day.
 
 The Awami League will hold various programs including paying homage, reciting Fateha, and special munajat at the tomb of Milon at Dhaka Medical College at 8 am.
 
 Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, in a statement, today called upon the party leaders and workers to observe the day abiding by the health protection rules.
 
Dr Milon was killed by the assailants of the military junta near the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of Dhaka University during the anti-autocracy movement on November 27, 1990.
 
With the supreme sacrifice of Dr Milon, the anti-authoritarian movement went to peak and the fall of the dictator-ruled government took place through a historical student mass uprising.
