RANGPUR, Nov 23, 2021 (BSS) – The authorities of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) has cancelled the winter vacation from December 19 to 30 (excluding Christmas holiday on December 25) next.
 
“The decision was taken at the Deans’ Committee Meeting held at the university with Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Hasibur Rashid in the chair,” a press release said here tonight.
 
The winter vacation has been canceled to compensate students to overcome the session jam caused by the closure of the university -- for more than one and a half years during the 2021-2022 academic sessions -- due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
“The academic and administrative activities of the university will continue as usual during the period,” the release said.
 
The meeting also decided to cancel the office holidays from December 19 to 26 (excluding Christmas holiday) to carry out academic activities as well as administrative activities.
