DHAKA, Nov 22, 2021 (BSS) - Visiting Maldivian Vice President Faisal Naseem today visited the Bangladesh-Korea Technical Training Center (BKTTC) at Mirpur in the city this afternoon.
On arrival of the Maldivian vice president at the BKTTC, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed welcomed him with a bouquet, said a ministry press release.
Secretary of the ministry Dr Ahmed Munirus Saleheen and Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) Director General Md Shahidul Alam were present on the occasion.
Later, Faisal Naseem exchanged views with Imran Ahmed at the conference room of the BKTTC where a documentary was screened on the skills and training of the Bangladeshi workers.
The expatriates' welfare and overseas employment minister thanked the Maldivian vice president for his visit to the BKTTC and said Bangladesh is committed to ensure quality labor migration.
"Bangladesh always discourages any illegal migration," Imran added.
Maldivian Higher Education Minister Ibrahim Hasan, Health Minister Ahmed Nasim, Secretary of the Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry Dr Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Additional Secretary Md Nazibul Islam and BMET Director General Md Shahidul Alam were present at the view exchange meeting.
Later, the Maldivian Vice President visited the ongoing training activities of different trades in the BKTTC.
