CHATTOGRAM, July 15, 2025 (BSS) – Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain today laid emphasis on studying English language in madrasas alongside Arabic, saying such an approach would expand employment prospects for students both home and abroad along with enhancing their relevance in the world.
He made this emphasis during an exchange of views with teachers and students in the conference room after visiting Patiya Shahchand Aouliya Madrasa.
The Adviser said, "We want talented students to emerge from such madrasas. If they know English alongside Arabic, employment opportunities will be increased manifold.”
He added, “Madrasa students, by learning English, will be able to build careers in various professions such as doctors, engineers, teachers, researchers, and IT specialists."
He said that if students know English, they will be able to integrate modern knowledge and science with Islam and will also help present Islam globally.
