DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS) -  Sheik Moinuddin, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, has now also been entrusted with  responsibility for the Ministry of Railways alongside the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges. 

In accordance with the Rules of Business, the Cabinet Division issued a notification today, conferring executive authority of the Ministry of Railways upon Sheik Moinuddin.

The notification, signed by Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid, said that to assist the Adviser of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, the Chief Adviser had earlier, on March 5, appointed Sheik Moinuddin as his Special Assistant with the rank of State Minister and delegated to him executive powers over that ministry.

Following the same precedent, and in continuation of the previous order, Sheik Moinuddin is now assigned additional responsibility as Special Assistant to the Adviser of the Ministry of Railways under similar arrangements. 

He is hereby vested with executive authority over the Ministry of Railways under Rule 3B (ii)(a) of the Rules of Business, 1996.

Former Secretary Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan is currently serving as Adviser to the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, the Ministry of Railways, and the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
