DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS) - Biman Bangladesh Airlines has successfully completed this year's post-Hajj flight operations, marking the end of a major national effort to facilitate the safe return of Bangladeshi pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The final return flight of the season arrived in Chattogram on Friday, officially concluding the Hajj operation for 2025, a Biman press release said here today.
The operation also included the distribution of Zamzam water to returning pilgrims, a tradition maintained each year.
As the designated national carrier, Biman, along with Saudia and Flynas, jointly operated Hajj flights under the supervision of the Bangladesh and Saudi governments.
Biman deployed over a thousand of its officials and staff to ensure the smooth execution of additional Hajj flights and associated services.
Apart from air transportation, Biman was also solely responsible for providing ground handling services for all Hajj flights, including those operated by foreign airlines, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and other key points of entry.
Through the successful execution of this large-scale operation, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has once again demonstrated its capacity, professionalism, and commitment to national service, said the release.
"Biman is committed to continuing this level of service and dedication in future Hajj operations," the release added.
