DHAKA, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - Films highlighting the glorious role of women in the July Mass Uprising will be screened tomorrow in all 64 districts and at all universities across the country.

On July 14, a musical video will be shared, themed with the song "Mora Jhonjhar Moto Uddam" (“We are as fierce as the storm”).

These decisions were taken at an inter-ministerial meeting recently organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs as part of the observance of the July Reawakening Program 2025.

As per the program schedule, a documentary titled "Testimony of a martyr’s family" will be broadcast on that day. A video recalling the memories of July freedom fighter Mahbubul Alam from Narayanganj, who lost both eyes, will also be shared.

In addition, starting at 9pm at the TSC (Teacher-Student Centre), films will be shown addressing anti-Bangladesh propaganda by foreign media, the contribution of women in the July Uprising and the story of Abrar Fahad.

A musical program based on songs from the July movement will also be held.

On July 14 last year, students of Dhaka University chanted slogans on collaborators (razakars) and surged like a tide into the streets, injecting new life into the movement. In remembrance of it, that vivid moment will be exhibited  tomorrow night at 10pm at the Central Shaheed Minar,  Dhaka.

Meanwhile, July Martyr Memorial Monuments will be established in each district to commemorate the July Mass Uprising.

As part of the “Notes on July” program, selected photographs from the Uprising will be used to design postcards. Volunteers will take these postcards to the public, allowing people to write their personal July memories on them. Additionally, July-themed T-shirts and headbands will be produced and distributed.
