RANGPUR, July 11, 2025 (BSS) - Inspired by her interactions with them, public, youth and teenagers are placing unconditional trust in the dreams shown by NCP senior joint member-secretary Dr Tasnim Jara and their vision of a new Bangladesh.

Expressing their hopes, aspirations and feelings towards Jara during conversations, many commented on her Facebook posts accepting her as an iconic, charismatic, polite and real leader of the future.

They also forwarded suggestions and support for NCP and wished its leaders, especially Jara, a smooth future journey.

Led by National Citizens Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam, central leaders addressed street rallies, road shows and interacted with people during their recent visit to Rangpur division.

Thousands of people spontaneously participated in these massive public opinion-building activities of NCP and expressed their problems, hopes and aspirations.

Amidst the gathering of NCP leaders and their magnetic speeches, the interaction of Dr Jara with the public touched the hearts, captivated and attracted the youth, created immense enthusiasm and instilled new hopes and dreams in them.

As Jara passed through the streets, hundreds of students, youth, and ordinary people, as if mesmerized, crowded around her to shake hands and talk to her.

They trust Dr Jara's every visionary word and they feel that she is capable of bringing about a huge change in the core of the country's political thinking.

Extremely impressed by the public response to the NCP rallies and exchanges of views, Jara expressed her feelings on her verified Facebook page during their visit to Rangpur division from July 1 to July 4 last.

Excerpts from some of Tasnim Jara's posts and public comments about her inspiring performance are quoted below.

At Lalmonirhat on July 2, Jara wrote in her Facebook post, "Today, I met Fatima. She is only five years old. Her father carried her on his shoulders during a road-show in Lalmonirhat."

Her father said that Fatima told him to bring her the lice shampoo after watching my lice removal video.

After using the shampoo, she no longer has lice on her head. It was so nice to hear the story face to face.

This new generation is curious, confident and can make decisions quickly. This generation will not be deceived so easily like before. Best wishes for Fatima.

At Nilphamari on July 3, Jara posted, "As we walked through the streets, we were met with a sea of young faces, students waving from rickshaws, autos, and vans as they made their way home.

In one auto-rickshaw, six girls were riding home after their exams. Their futures felt close enough to touch. We saw each other and shook hands, and the conversation started. One wanted to be a nurse, another doctor, another dreamed of becoming an engineer.

I praised their dreams and gave them a piece of advice that I wholeheartedly believe in. If someone hears your dream and says, you can't do it, then don't be discouraged and prove it.

"I hope these girls will take this country to a place that we have only imagined. I believe that if there is any source of Bangladesh's bright future, it is our youth."

Dr Jara in Thakurgaon on July 4 wrote, "Lamim is only fifteen years old. He had protested last year."

"I asked Lamim why you went to the protest. Were your friends with you?"

He shook his head. No, no one was there. He went alone.

"Why did you go?"

Lamim replied that he was watching the protest and police and Awami League torture on his elder brother's mobile phone.

He felt an urge from within that he had to stand by them. On August 4, he joined the protest. He was shot in his left eye. Lamim can no longer see with that left eye.

"I had many dreams," Lamim said, "but now I don't know what will happen. I can't concentrate properly."

I asked him what he wanted for the country.

Lamim said, "I want the country to be beautiful. There should be no theft or bribery."

"This simple statement is the main desire for reform. Many are not able to grasp the kind of transformation that has taken place within this generation."

At Dinajpur on 4 July, Jara wrote, "I met teenagers Sumitra, Kajuli, and Srishti in Santal Palli. Sumitra is in the ninth grade, Kajuli is in the seventh grade, and Srishti is in the sixth grade."

I asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

All three answered, "Nurse." I smiled and said, "You three want to be the same? Why?"

One of their local girls had become their only nurse recently. She now works in a clinic in Dhaka. This is the power of visualization.

I told them that if someone ever says you can't do it and then there is no need to get upset, just do it.

Sumitra immediately said, "Many say I can't, but I don't listen. If I listen to them, then I won't be able to move forward!"

"The dreams of Sumitra, Kajuli and Shrishti cannot be allowed to fade away. We must remember them in policymaking," Jara wrote.

At Rajarhat upazila in Kurigram on July 2, Jara wrote, "Today, we stood before a large crowd in Rajarhat."

I walked toward a group of schoolgirls, unsure at first who was more curious - them or me. The first handshake was shy. Then a ripple of laughter and a few hugs.

"One girl, barely thirteen, leaned in and whispered with a kind of certainty, when I grow up; I want to serve the people like you. We have to create spaces for people like her."

Elsewhere, I met a cluster of older women. One of them reached for my hand and said quietly, do not stop, keep going. Our hopes live in you. And I believed her. They remind us that politics is not always the clamor of power.

Dr Jara wrote, "We are walking in 64 districts to listen to learn to understand what people need. So that when we shape our policies, when we formulate policies and write our manifesto, we do so with them in mind."

One Mustafa Alam commented on Jara's Facebook post, "This is how politicians can realize the people's pulse. Please keep this up and engage as many as possible like-minded people with you."

Sadia Sultana commented, "This is what I expect from you. Let there be a change in the political landscape this time."

Meftah Pavel wrote, "She is setting up an example for a lot of women who would be interested in joining politics. Dr Tasnim Jara is creating a great platform for them. Thank you."

Nabib Dewan wrote, "Whichever seat Tasnim Jara is a candidate, vote for her and make her victorious. She will be a good politician. There will be hope."

Talibul Islam wrote, "Tasnim the people's celebrity, leaving behind Oxford, Cambridge and luxury lifestyle, backed to roots for helping voluntarily upgrade homeland politics from grass root, Congratulations & all the best."
