DHAKA, Nov 17, 2021 (BSS) - State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former state minister Advocate Afsaruddin Ahmad Khan, the younger brother of the country's first prime minister Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad.

   In a condolence message, the state minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

   Afsar passed away on Tuesday night at his residence in Dhaka at 81. He left behind two sons and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

   He was elected Member of Parliament from Gazipur-4 (Kapasia) constituency from Awami League ticket in 1996.
