DHAKA, June 26, 2025 (BSS) - Labour and Employment Secretary AHM Shafiquzzaman today said the labour court case management will be included in digital services under the Advancing Decent Work in Bangladesh project.
"A digital case management system will be launched, which will speed up the process of case disposal," he said while addressing an inter-ministerial meeting with the representatives of International Labour Organisation (ILO) at the meeting room of the ministry here.
The meeting discussed the digitalization of labour courts, prevention of child labour and speedy resolution of labour disputes, said a press release.
Shafiquzzaman said that the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, the Cabinet Division and the ICT Division will start digital processing of cases to implement the ILO's National Action Plan and Roadmap.
He said the ILO will support the training of officials of court, the Department of Labour, the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments, the Labour Lawyers Association and related workers.
He mentioned that all stakeholders will be involved in the digital transformation of labour cases.
Officials from the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, ICT Division, Department of Labour, Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments and the Ministry of Labour and Employment were present at the meeting.
