JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, June 14, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan will visit Pakistan to strengthen academic collaboration and institutional partnerships in higher education, science and technology.
Acting Director of JU Public Relations Office, Mohammad Mahiuddin confirmed the visit to BSS, stating that the VC is scheduled to depart Dhaka early tomorrow and will return on June 21.
The visit comes at the invitation of the OIC Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (OIC-COMSTECH), where he will attend the 'Special Rectors Meeting for Bangladesh'.
As part of a 10-member delegation comprising vice-chancellors and senior officials from leading public and private universities in Bangladesh, JU VC will also visit prominent educational and research institutions in Lahore, Islamabad, and Murree.
"During the visit, the Vice Chancellor plans to sign several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to promote academic and research collaboration," Mahiuddin said.
Prof Kamrul Ahsan will also participate in two specialized training sessions titled 'How to Improve University Rankings' and 'Creating an Innovation Ecosystem in Institutions of Higher Learning'.
