DHAKA, July 1, 2021 (BSS) - The government has decided to appoint
Md. Delwar Hossain, currently serving as the director general of
Myanmar wing of foreign ministry, as the next Bangladesh Ambassador to
Republic of Korea (South Korea).

  Hossain is a career foreign service officer belonging to the 17th
batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre, a
foreign ministry press release said today.

  Hossain served in various capacities to Bangladesh Missions in
Paris, Tripoli, Thimphu and Beijing and in multiple wings of the
foreign ministry in his distinguished diplomatic career.

  He obtained his MBA from IBA, Dhaka University and B.Sc. in
Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering &
Technology.

  Rahman also earned a diploma in International Relations from the
International Institute of Public Administration in Paris, France.
