Air Force chief returns home from Russia

 DHAKA, Oct 29, 2021 (BSS) - Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air

Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan returned home today after an official visit
to Russia.

   The Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force left Dhaka for Russia on
October 20 last on an official visit along with his spouse and two entourages
at the invitation of Ministry of Defence, The Russian Federation and Federal
Service for Military Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, an ISPR press
release said.

  During visit, the Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force called on
General Surovikin Sergey Vladimirovich, Commander in Chief of the Aerospace
Forces, Russian Federation.

   They exchanged views on different bilateral issues of mutual interest. He
also called on Director General of reputed Russian Industry ROSOBORONEXPORT
and the representatives of National Aviation Services Company (NASC.

   They discussed professional matters. Besides, Shaikh Abdul Hannan visited
various military and civil installations, including Production Plant of
different aircraft and helicopters, in Russia.

  It is expected that the visit of the Chief of Air Staff will play a vital
role in strengthening the existing bilateral relationship with Bangladesh and
Russia by expanding scope of mutual cooperation in the professional sectors.

   Besides, this visit created an opportunity to exchange expert views with
the high military and civil officials.

   The visit will surely enhance existing capability of Bangladesh Air Force
in respect of technology, procurement and maintenance of equipments.

  While returning from Russia, the Chief of Air Staff also visited 'Dubai
Expo-2020' held in UAE (Dubai).
