DHAKA, Oct 24, 2021 (BSS) - President M Abdul Hamid today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of noted cultural personality and actor Mahmud Sajjad.

   In a message of condolence, the President said, "People will remember the contribution of Mahmud Sajjad to the country's theater world with respect."

   The head of the state prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to his bereaved family.

   Sajjad, also elder brother of State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, breathed his last around 2.30pm at the age of 73 while undergoing treatment at the Intensive care unit (ICU) of Evercare Hospital in the city.
