DHAKA, Oct 24, 2021 (BSS) - Final 100 winners of the 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Quiz' competition were selected through lottery at a function at the International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) here today.

  Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Post and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Dr Kazi Shahidullah and Chief Coordinator of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury conducted the lottery through computerized process. 

  They have also kept 20 competitors at the waiting list. 100 laptops will be distributed among the winners within the next one month. 

   Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee organized the 100-day quiz competition titled, "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Quiz" from December 1, 2020 to March 10, 2021 which was received huge responses from people.

  The committee organised the competition with the help of the Ministry of Education and University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.

  Strategic partners of the quiz competition were Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Post and Telecommunication Division and ICT Division. Priyo.com implemented the competition. 

   In his welcome speech, Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury said despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the national implementation committee is taking different programmes marking the celebration of the birth centenary.

  Under the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said the implementation committee organised the quiz competition.

  CEO of Priyo.com Zakaria Swapan delivered a presentation regarding the quiz competition.

   Zakaria Swapan informed that the 100 grand prize winners have been selected from over 67.30 lakh correct answers and the prizes will be handed over within the next one month. 

  He said over 15.29 lakh competitors registered the 100-day competition and of those, over 7.63 lakh competitors participated in the competition.

  Swapan also informed that a total of 10,000 people were awarded during the 100-day quiz competition and the winners got mobile data from Teletalk for 100 days. 

  "Each winner got one GB data per day. Besides, 500 smart phones were distributed among the winners during the period," he added
