DHAKA, Oct 21, 2021 (BSS) - President M Abdul Hamid, now in London for health check up, today inquired about the treatment and health condition of noted journalist and columnist Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury as he is undergoing treatment at a hospital in London.

   "The President enquired about the health condition of noted journalist Gaffar Chowdhury over phone as the hospital authority imposed a restriction on visitors," President's press secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS this evening

   He said, during this time, the President conveyed his best wishes with a bouquet to Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury through Bangladesh High Commissioner to UK Saida Muna Tasnim.

   Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury also thanked the President for his inquiry.

   President Hamid wished for speedy recovery of Gaffar Chowdhury. The head of state expressed the hope that he (Chowdhury) would return to normal life very soon.
