JS body on foreign ministry greets PM for achieving SDG award

   DHAKA, Oct 19, 2021 (BSS) - The parliamentary standing committee on foreign affairs ministry today congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for achieving the "SDG Progress Award".

  The UN-sponsored Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) conferred "SDG Progress Award" to the Bangladesh Premier for her contribution to end poverty, protect the planet and to ensure peace and prosperity for all.

   The committee made the greetings and wished good health and long life of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at its 23rd meeting held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here with its chairman M Faruk Khan in the chair. 

  Committee members foreign minister Dr A K Abdul Momen, state minister for foreign affairs Md Shahriar Alam, Nurul Islam Nahid, Golam Faruk Khondoker Prince, Md. Abdul Mojid Khan, Md. Habibe Millat, Nahim Razzaque and Qazi Nabil Ahmed attended the meeting, according to a press release.

   During the meeting, the committee forms a three member sub-committee to further experiment on "Territorial Waters and Maritime Zones (Amendment) Bill 2021".

   A report on Prime Minister's recent attendance in the UN General Assembly (UNGA) session and the USA tour submitted during the meeting, the release also said.
