Non-communal mindset keeps people united: Bahauddin Nasim

   DHAKA, Oct 12, 2021 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim today said that the people of the country are united as they have non-communal mindset.

   "Communal harmony and taking part in one another's festivals are the tradition of the Bengalis. The non-communal approach has kept us united in all situations of the country and the nation. We are committed to maintaining this communal harmony," he said.

   He said this while distributing clothes on the occasion of Durga Puja-2021 at Dhakeswari National Temple here.

   Nasim further said Durga Puja is the traditional festival of Bengal for thousands of years. 

   "The joy of Durga Puja is for all of us. Our culture has a close relationship with this. This is a non-communal sign of the Bengali," he added.

  Mentioning that Bangladesh Awami League is a traditional and non-communal political party, he said it is a democratic political party with progressive mindset.

   He said: "Bangladesh is moving forward today overcoming many impediments under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She has brightened the image of country across the globe." 

   He hoped that all will work to build a non-communal country under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.

   Prime minister's special assistant and Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Dhaka-7 Member of Parliament (MP) Haji Selim, Advisor to Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad Nirmal Goswami, general secretary Nirmal Chatterjee and Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee president Shailendra Nath Majumder were also present there, among others.
