DHAKA, Sept 28, 2021 (BSS) - The Annual Captain Conference-2021 of
Bangladesh Army's Corps of Military Police (CMP) was held today at CMP
Center and School adjacent to Savar cantonment.

  Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed
spoke it as chief guest, said an Inter-Services Public Relations
(ISPR) press release.

   SM Shafiuddin, also the sixth Colonel Commandant of CMP, gave his
guidance and advice to the military officers and CMP commanders
present at the Annual Command Conference.

   He emphasized on sophisticated and pragmatic training with
innovative thinking consistent with technological advances in modern
warfare.

  He praised the role of the military police in the country and in the
international arena and congratulated every member of the corps.

   Senior military officers of Army Headquarter, Army Training and
Doctrine Command and Savar area were also present on the occasion.

   Later, the Chief of Army Staff inaugurated the newly constructed
memorial 'Vijay Chetan' at CMPC&S in memory of 16 heroic freedom
fighters of CMP and planted a Alstonia scholaris tree there.

   He also unveiled the nameplate of 'Major General Zainul Abedin
Auditorium' at CMPC&S Center.
