MANIKGANJ, June 16, 2024 (BSS) - The homebound passengers and vehicles are crossing the Paturia-Daulatdia route smoothly at the last moment ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.
 
Deputy General Manager of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation, Paturia ghat Shah Mohammad Khaled Newaz said over 2,650 vehicles, including buses, private cars, trucks, microbuses, and motorcycles crossed the Padma River from dawn to dusk today without any hassle.
 
Khaled Newaz said all the vehicles loaded with passengers and goods crossed the river immediately after loading on the ferry, as an adequate number of ferries are plying round-the-clock.
 
“There is no stranded vehicle at Paturia Ghat,” he said while talking to BSS at 7:45 p.m..
