DHAKA, June 28, 2021(BSS)–Newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) from the Lakshmipur-2 constituency Noor Uddin Chowdhury Nayan took oath at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here today.

Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath of office to Nayan elected in the by-poll with the ruling Awami League’s ticket, said a press release.

Senior Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan conducted the swearing-in ceremony.

Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury and whips Iqbalur Rahim and Abu Sayeed Al Mahmood Swapon and lawmakers Anwer Hossain Khan and AKM Shajahan Kamal were present at the function.

After taking oath, Noor Uddin Chowdhury Nayan signed the oath book as part of traditional ceremony for the lawmakers.

On June 21,the by-election to Lakshmipur-2 constituency was held.
