DHAKA, Sept 19, 2021 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan
Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Haji Sirajul
Haque, a local Awami League (AL) leader of Shilak Union Parishad (UP), and
Sultan Ahmed, a leader of Kodala UP AL unit and also a Kodala UP member under
Ranguniya upazila of the district.
In a condolence message, the Minister prayed for eternal peace of the
departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved families.
Dr Hasan Mahmud, also joint general secretary of AL, said Haji Sirajul
Haque and Sultan Ahmed were skilled organisers and dedicated souls in the
political arena of Awami League.
Besides, President of Rangunia Upazila AL Sirajul Islam Chowdhury and its
General Secretary Engineer Shamsul Alam Talukder expressed profound shock and
sorrow at the death of Haji Sirajul Haque and Sultan Ahmed.
Haji Sirajul Haque, 72, and Sultan Ahmed, 65, died today due to old-age
complications at their respective residences.
