DHAKA, Feb 21, 2024 (BSS) - Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of the historic Language Movement on the occasion of Amar Ekushey and the International Mother Language Day.

She paid the homage by placing wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar here after 12 midnight last.

The speaker stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of supreme sacrifice of the language heroes.

Deputy Speaker Md Shamsul Haque Tuku also paid homage to the martyrs of the historic Language Movement there.
