DHAKA, Sept 13, 2021 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today ordered police to
interrogate four leaders of BNP's student body Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD)
including its former president Rajib Ahsan for two days in jail gate in a
case lodged for obstructing law enforcers from performing their duty.
The other three accused are: former JCD joint secretary Abdur Rahman,
JCD leaders Rafikul Islam and Ashraful Islam.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khayer Jessy passed the order,
scrapping a remand plea filed by the police.
Police detained the accused from Dhanmandi lake area on the night of
September 8 as they were strolling there suspiciously and filed the case as
they tried to obstruct the police from performing their duties while
detaining them.
